Spoken content is transmitted virtually in real time. With larger events, a range of conference techniques are used in a sound-insulated cabin (also available as a mobile installation).
Due to the high concentration which is required of interpreters here, usually 2 simultaneous interpreters take turns with each other, alternating approx. every half hour.
A special type of simultaneous interpreting is whispering interpretation. This is suitable for one or two listeners at short events (additional background noise). In this case, the interpreter is behind or next to the listener and whispers the interpreted language content in their ear. Here as well, 2 interpreters will take it in turns.
